Pamela Jean Lambson, possible sixth victim of Rodney Alcala
Alcala is suspected of the sexual assault, torture and strangulation of Pamela Jean Lambson, a computer assistant and aspiring actress and singer who disappeared from Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco on Oct. 8, 1977 after she went to pose for a freelance photographer.
Her nude, bruised and battered body was found the next day on a trail on Mount Tamalpais, in nearby Marin County – just a few miles from San Quentin Prison, home of California’s Death Row.
Marin County Sheriff’s Detective Ryan Petersen said investigators in his department believe that Alcala is the mystery photographer who promised Lambson a portfolio of glamorous pictures but instead raped and murdered her.
